Ms Robinson’s class parody of Nobody Like U - topic - severe weather.
*note: WHILE WE WERE WRITING the verse about hurricanes and tornadoes, a tornado warning for Ann Arundel County buzzed on my phone and everyone in the school had to take shelter in the lower hall. Life imitates art.
Verse 1:
I hope never see a hurricane
It might flatten my house down in one day
It can split a house in two
The spinning wind will terrify you
Chorus 1:
You’re never not on my mind, oh hurricane
Powerful wind can smash and wreck your day
Never get in your way, your way, your way
Powerful storms will visit you one day
Verse 2 rap:
Let’s call it what it is, it’s a tornado
Gotta whole lotta fear fast as they go
Tonight is the night, stay calm and run
When a twister comes through, you’re done
Verse 3 rap:
Look up, here it comes, a dark cloudy sky
Strike tall things, split trees, flash bright
Count 4-3-2-1 boom and fear
And you know why, thun-der it’s here
Chorus 2:
Watches from the news and warnings too
If something hits, take cover too
If a giant hurricane comes through
Storm can cut power lines in two
Verse 1
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (hurricane)
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (Twister)
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (THUNDER)
Se vere, Wea ther
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (hurricane)
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (Twister)
Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Li-Like you (THUNDER)
Like you
Verse 1:
I hope never see a hurricane
It might flatten my house down in one day
It can split a house in two
The spinning wind will terrify you
Chorus 1:
You’re never not on my mind, oh hurricane
Powerful wind can smash and wreck your day
Never get in your way, your way, your way
Powerful storms will visit you one day

Ms Wilson's class parody of We Don't Talk about Bruno - topic: force & motion
We love forces and motion, tion, tion
We love forces and motion, hey
I was asleep in bed
But then my dog came in, and he jumped on my head
I reacted, pushed him out of my way
I ran out and tripped on his bone
I had no suspicion (and cuz of gravity)
then because of friction (I fell unhappily)
slippin’ without permission
We love forces and motion, tion, tion
We love forces and motion, hey
went to the kitchen grabbed the bread, slipped on dog drool
now it’s flat bread because friction is so cruel
went to the cafe, my stomach is rumbling. blr, blr, blr
bought a mango boba but the wind blew it over
and I saw a giant spider sittin on my shoulder
so it dribbled down my pants and stained my new white shoes
I don’t stand a chance
gravity has its way, pulls you down
when you go up, you end up on the ground
climbing up a rope but there’s gravity
We love forces and motion, tion, tion
We love forces and motion,
Got to school hopped out my car rolled away
Jumped on the trampoline and the gravity made me pay
at work someone has a bucket of water
and it was my doomsday
the forces had their way
went to school and lost gravity
and now the principal’s staring at me
I was floating down the hall
like a fairy with angelic wings
went to school and lost gravity
and now the principal’s staring at me
I was floating down the hall
like a fairy with angelic wings
gravity has its way, pulls you down
when you go up, you end up on the ground
climbing up a rope but there’s gravity
We love forces and motion, tion, tion
We love forces and motion

Ms Saunders' class parody of We Don't Talk about Bruno - topic: force & motion
Chorus 1
Wanna talk about forces, ces, ces, ces
Wanna talk about forces
Verse 1
It was a sunny day
I rode my bike to beach, my pedals were below my feet
Ouch! Then I got stung by a honey bee
My mom told me I would be alright
Prechorus 1
Jumping from a diving board
In doing so, well, I had soared
Almost broke my spinal cord
Alt Chorus 1
My mom called the hospital, tal tal tal
The stitches were so brutal
Verse 2
Flying in a rocket and I’m zooming to the moon
Defying all the gravity, I hope I get there soon
Running so fast I’ll do a hundred mile dash, sh sh sh
Drag makes cargo slow, watch the parachute bloom
How slow will it go so we don’t meet our doom?
Grabbing the suspension lines, inflate, please don’t crash!
Do you want to crash?
Prechorus 2
A seven-foot pole, digs into the mat
And then he jumps and lands on his back
Couldn’t get up, he broke his kneecap
Chorus
Wanna talk about forces, ces, ces, ces
Wanna talk about forces
Verse 3
He told me my ferris wheel would stop, but why?!
I said predictable motion will never die
Our engineer built a roller coaster
It reaches the sky
You’ll want a parachute when you go that high
Bridge part 1
They told me that the force drag was fast
Would be scary and maybe I’d fall
I wish that the force drag would slow down
Maybe I will fall at the mall
I fell off the wall had a cast
How will I write my name?
We have a Science test
I better study now
Ms. Saunders, I’ll need some answers from you
My mom will have a cow!
Bridge part 2
Um, Science
Yeah about those forces
I really need to know about forces
Gimme the notes and facts, Ms. Saunders
Time for lunch please!
Prechorus 2
A seven-foot pole, digs into the mat
And then he jumps and lands on his back
Couldn’t get up, he broke his kneecap
Chorus
Wanna talk about forces, ces, ces, ces
Wanna talk about forces
